Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)
Who was Dr. Bach?
Dr. Edward Bach was a noted physician and homeopath who wanted to treat the person and not the malady. He saw the flower remedies as the medicine of the future, allowing people to help themselves. Today thousands of people across the world have benefited from his discoveries.
What are the Bach Flower Remedies?
They are a series of 38 flower remedies that touch on various aspects of passing moods. Made from non-poisonous plants native to the English Countryside they are a natural and gentle system of self -healing.
What is the famous Rescue Remedy?
Rescue Remedy is the most famous of the remedies, but in fact is not a remedy at all but rather a mix of five different remedies, which together help you deal with an emergency or stressful event. It is to be used in emergencies i.e. sudden bad news, when fearful, confused or in terror, or before a stressful event i.e. driving test, dentist visit — it helps you face situations in a better state of mind and reduce fear and nervousness. Rescue Remedy is available in spray, drops, or cream. However, it is not intended to replace emergency care or assistance.

How exactly do they work?
The Bach Flower Remedies work by subtly restoring balance to negative emotions i.e. stress, depression, fear. By simply taking two drops of the appropriate remedy they assist with restoring equilibrium.
Who can take the remedies?
Anyone. They are safe for the entire family and pets, and have no unwanted side-effects.
How do you take the remedies?
For immediate use for passing moods, simply take two drops of the remedy of your choice from a stock bottle either by mouth or in a glass of water. This can be sipped at intervals until symptoms improve. For longer term use, up to seven remedies of your choice can be added to a 30ml dropper bottle, topped up with mineral water. From this four drops can be taken at least four times a day.
The remedies can be taken as often as needed, and there is no chance of over-dosing, if they are not needed they will not work.
The remedies are not affected by taste or smell and can be taken in any hot or cold beverage of your choice.
Please note that the stock remedies are preserved in alcohol. Dilute the remedies or use them externally when this is an issue.
What are their benefits?
The remedies are gentle, natural, and do not interfere with other medications. You can take them as long as you feel the need.
